Hello and welcome to Remote Java Dev! My name is Dan and I’ve been working in the Java space for well over a decade.  Most of my work has been Enterprise Java Development and Consulting for companies of various sizes.

I’m currently working as a Consultant doing Java and JavaScript Full-Stack Web Development.  I really enjoy consulting as it requires a Swiss-Army Knife skill set.  It’s also great to work directly with clients and deliver real value to them and their customers.

I’ve been working remotely at least partially in various Java roles for over a decade.  This includes several months-long stints in the Pacific Islands, 7000 miles away from the Twin Cities Metro area where I’m currently based.  

In searching around the web there seemed to be a lack of good resources focused on the remote nature of Java Developers’ work.  I thought I’d help rectify that and hopefully others will find something useful here.
